Aadhavan - Review
Saw this movie in my friend's house yesterday.(23 - 11 - 2009)
To be frank, i expected a very average film as the review in and out online forums were not so encouraging. But i was terribly disappointed watching this film.
The story of the film is nothing new. At least the screen play could have been better. But there was nothing interesting in the screenplay except Vadivel's comedy.
The first half of the film purely traveled on the shoulders of Vadivel. He provided enough laughter to the audience. But excluding that, the movie had nothing to cheer about.
Nayanthara just comes in and before songs. Surya's performance was quite OK but there were many self praising dialogs in the film.
The second half and the flashback scenes were a big yawn and one wonders why the director had morphed the face of Surya to a small boy to portray Surya in ten year old getup.
Some stunts in first half were inspired from Casino Royale but except for those replicated stunts, others were damn funny. The hero was flying over buildings like a triple jump athlete. One wonders what was the stunt master thinking in his mind while choreographing such stunts.
The climax stunt was totally atrocious. Two songs are hummable from Harris but his music sounds too monotonous now a days.
Overall, the movie is a big time disappointment from KSR-Surya combo.
Verdict - Aadhavan : Aagadhavan (Stay Away)
My rating - 2/5
This two marks is for Vadivel. But you can watch his comedy scenes in Aadhitya or Siripoli.
