Villu audio review-Balaji
1.Rama Rama(Amalraj and Kovai Sarala)
This is the introduction song of Vijay in Villu. The lyrics are definitely pulsating and enjoyable. This song will be liked by Vijay fans more than anyone as it portrays the hero with magical words and heavy beats.Amalraj's voice looks good and Kovai Salara's high pitch voice too is quite good.If you are a hardcore Vijay fan, then this will be your favorite song of the album as it has everything to bring the roofs inside the theater.Over all a nice Introduction song for Vijay.
Rating 8/10
2.Nee Kovapattal(Sagar)
This looks like a melody song where Vijay tries to convince Nayanthara. The lyrics of Pa.Vijay are so cute and Sagar has sung the song quite well.Though the song looks a bit clinched, its really melodious and enjoyable.
Rating 7.5/10
3.Are you crazy(Divya)
The singer Divya has sung the song really well.More over, the lyrics are funny too core and the song is just for about 40 seconds.A beautiful song to hear and if choreographed well, then it will be a Visual treat for sure.
Rating 8/10
4.Jalsa(Baba Sehgal,Rita)
This song has a western beat and it can be classified as a fast beat western song. The singer Baba Sehgal has sung a song in Tamil for the first time(Even in Roja , i heard that he didn't sing any song in the Tamil version). His voice is nice and the song has lot of scope to become a big hit.
Rating 8.5/10
5.Daddy Mummy(Naveen Mahadevan,Mamta Mohandas)
This song too comes under the fast beat western music category. It has been sung by Naveen and Mamta. The lyrics of the song looks ordinary and the song too looks like a song already produced by DSP(Devi Sri Prasad).Though it has a redundancy in terms of music,Vijay's dance and the decent music will make it enjoyable.
Rating 7/10
6.Vada Vada Mappilai(Tiru,Rita)
This is another folk song of the album. The day Vijay's "Appadi Podu" became a very big chartbuster,Vijay made it sure that at least there is one such song in his film and this song is not an exception. The music is definitely enjoyable and Vijay's dance with Nayathara can make the audience dance in theaters if you are one such kind.
Rating 7.5/10
7.Thimthanakka Thillana(Devi Sri Prasad,Thillana)
This song resembles the DADDY MUMMY song from the same album. But it has a better lyrics and thus can become a bigger hit than the DADDY MUMMY song. The speciality is that it has been sung by the music director DSP himself.
Rating 7.5/10
8.Jalsa Remix
This is a faster version of the Jalsa song.It is on par with the original song with peppy western music. But one can't say surely whether this song will be available in the movie as it has about 7 songs excluding this one.But still, its good for sure.
Rating 8/10
Overall, the album is enjoyable for sure and satisfies the expected level. The only apprehensive thing is that it looks a bit redundant at times. But still,Devi Sri Prasad has done a good job and stabled his reputation in Tamil too.
Over all Rating 8/10
